Midsummer Tea June 24th

Midsummer Tea
In June we held an afternoon tea in the Chairman's house which raised £700 that we donated to St Christopher's Hospice in September.   Several members helped make this a great success with their hard work behind the scenes, and we were blessed with a lovely sunny afternoon.  Many of our members have cause to be grateful to the Hospice and it was a great pleasure to be able to make this contribution to them.    The money will go towards supporting the art therapy sessions that they hold with the patients and carers, and we were very pleased to present the cheque to them in the art therapy suite at the Hospice

Members Art Exhibition 2 May 2024

We held a very successful Art Exhibition after our May lecture.  Members were invited to exhibit works in any medium which had been created by themselves. It was not a Sale or a Competition and there were no judgements, only friendly discussions amongst visitors.

Unfortunately ceiling lights reflected upon some glazed pictures, for which we apologise.

You can view the works HERE

New Venue for The Arts Society Beckenham

We are pleased to annouce that from our February Lecture in 2021 (or when we recommence face to face lectures), they will take place at a new venue - The Beckenham Methodist Church in Bromley Road, Beckenham, very close to the Public Halls.  The facilities have recently been upgraded and we hope that members will welcome the change.
